Bhaskar Updates: 6.8 magnitude earthquake hits Sichuan, China, no damage reported

 A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck China's Sichuan province at 10 am on Monday. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the city of Luding, 180 km from Chengdu, Sichuan's capital. At present there is no news of any damage.

According to the China Earthquake Network Center, the second tremor was felt in the city of Yan near Luding. Its intensity was 4.2. In 2013, an earthquake in the city of Yan killed 100 people. 

The Shinde government has withdrawn the names of 12 MLAs sent by the Uddhav government to the Maharashtra Legislative Council. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has given its permission. This list was sent by the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government in 2020. Shinde's government has informed the governor that a new list will be sent soon.A fire broke out in the Levana Hotel in Lucknow, the capital of UP on Monday. 4 people have died in this fire. Many people are trapped here, efforts are on to get them out by breaking the window. So far 18 people have been evacuated. There is news of being trapped within 15

A boat sank in the Ganges river in Patna, Bihar. There were 55 people in the boat, out of which about 10 people are missing. The accident happened on Sunday night at Sherpur Ghat in Shahpur. Shahpur Police has started search and rescue operation in river Ganga. SDRF and villagers are working together to find the missing people.

Violent clashes broke out between two communities in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. During this, both the communities attacked each other with sharp weapons. In which 10 people died, while 15 people were injured. Police say that the search is on for the two suspected accused.A shooting took place on Sunday night in the city of Norfolk in the US state of Virginia. Two people were killed and five people were injured, including students from Norfolk State University. Norfolk Police said the shooting took place at around 12 a.m. in the 5000 block of Killum Avenue, in which four women and three men were shot. All were taken to the hospital for treatment. Here the doctors declared two people dead.
